  7. WAIS-for-Mac 1.2 Alpha is available for anonymous ftp from ftp.wais.com in
  8. pub/freeware/mac/wais-for-mac-1.2-alpha.sea.hqx 
  9.  
  10. WAIS-for-Mac is the freely distributed Macintosh WAIS client from WAIS Inc.
  11.  
  12. This is a bug fix release for WAIS-for-Mac 1.1.  It fixes the bug which
  13. resulted in failed access to the Sources folder in some installations.   It
  14. also allows the users to rename the System Folder.
  15.  
  16. This Alpha release is known to tickle a bug in the FreeWAIS implementation
  17. of relevance feedback.  
  18.  
  19. We are releasing it early since we know that there are many people who
  20. need to upgrade.  The alpha release just includes the application.  To
  21. assemble a complete release, retrieve wais-for-mac-1.1.sea.hqx and replace
  22. the application with the one found in wais-for-mac-1.2-alpha.sea.hqx.  Next
  23. week a new version will be released which works around the FreeWAIS bug and
  24. includes a full set of documentation and utility programs.
